Methodist children's pantomime
This month’s photograph shows the children of the Farnhill Methodist Sunday
school, dressed up for a pantomime or show. (It looks as if many of the girls are
bare-foot fairies, complete with wands.)
We can’t put a date to this, but we have managed to assign names to most of the
children that appear. If you can help with any of the others – or if you know any

About the “Group photographs project”
A number of group photographs have been contributed to our archive with very
little information attached to them. The aim of this project is to capture as much
detail as we can from those who might remember the events and people shown.
For this photograph, the “identifiers” were Christine Whiteoak, Margaret
Steptoe, Enga Brown, Ruth Ward, Jill Ideson (who appears on the photograph, as
Jill Walmsley), Peter Armitage, and Max Parker.
